Many pictures, few words.
RMMR was amazing. Fabulous. Fantastic! Deafening. Beautiful. Historic. Foggy. Sunny.
There was too little time! Due to other responsibilities in the morning, I was only able to shoot racing during the afternoon. This is what I saw.
This was my first time attending RMMR. (Other firsts: shooting racing! using a 600mm lens, being in California, going to Laguna Seca, seeing vintage cars at speed, etc.) It was epic. Enjoy the photos!

Posts like this remind me of Kinja’s lack of picture note-making. Would be nice to have it back the way Flickr brought back their notes.

Yes, that would be nice! I think it facilitates more conversation since you can center a conv. around an image.

I did see the Turbomeister, which I really liked! I didn’t see the other one though.

Not sure if the CSL Hommage was there, I know the 2002 was in Pebble beach two weeks ago and last weekend it was at the Dutch track of Zandvoort (where the shots are made at the historic GP) already!

It’s amazing how quickly they move cars like this around!

Laguna AND vintage cars!?!?!?! The sounds, the sights, the smells....so much epicness!

It was a m a z i n g . I kept thinking about the value of the cars tearing around the track. 3 Ferrari 250 GTO’s, 3 Maserati Birdcages, a DBR-1, an Ecurie Ecosse D-type (the 1956 Le Mans-winning EE D-type auctioned that weekend for 22M!). It was a fantastic experience, and I hope I can attend more vintage racing. Road Atlanta and VIR aren’t too far away from me.

I missed that. Was it on Saturday of the Reunion or the next week at O-fest?

Yeah, that was a clean little 356. I was stoked to see the DBR-1, the Ecurie Ecosse D-type, the 3 Birdcages, and the 3 250 GTO’s myself! Unbelievable cars.
